Day 1: Marrakech – the  high atlas mountains – kasbah Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate-Kelaa M’gouna-Boumalne Dades-Tinghir-Erfoud – The Desert of Merzouga.

The 2 days trip from Marrakech to Fes starts the morning. We pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech, then departure to Ait Benhaddou over the mountains of high Atlas passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). We will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou wich is a UNESCO world heritage site. Also this famous kasbah was the filmset for many popular movies as like as THE MUMY, ALEXANDRE, PRINCE OF PERSIA and many others. After the visit, lunch break in a local restaurant. 

Later, we will drive to Ouarzazate where we will make a stop near the atlas cinema studios to allow you to take photo. Then, we continue our road through the small city  Kalaa M’gouna and Boumalne Dades enjoying the panoramic views that offers the path. Later  we will continue to Todgha gorges and Tineghir. Upon arrival to Todra Gorges, we will make a walk to enjoy its marvelous Canyon views. Then, we continue via Tinejdad to reach Arfoud.

Arfoud is known for its fossils and fossilized marble factories that we will visit to give you an idea about how plate of marble and fossilized marble are transforming into real object of art. After that we continue to Merzouga. When arriving at Merzouga, camel trekking to access to the sahara camp to spend this night in a berber tent. On the way we will make a stop to allow you to take photos for the magical sunset.

Day 2: sahara  Desert Merzouga  – Ziz Valley – the cedar forest  – Ifrane –  Fes .

The morning, we get up early to enjoy the sunrise over the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, possibly the best moment in sahara desert of Merzouga. After breakfast and a shower, camel ride back to the hotel in Merzouga. Then, we take the road to Fes through the Ziz valley and the cedar forest of Azrou. In thess forests, you will see a colony of  monkeys along the road which will keep you amused.

You will have plenty of opportunities to stretch your legs as you will stop for coffee and lunch break. We continue driving through the Switzerland of Morocco which is Ifrane city to rech the cultural capital of Morocco Fes. When arriving, we drop you off at your riad / hotel or Fes Saiss airport.
