9 DAYS TOUR FROM MARRAKECH TO THE DESERT AND FES

Day 1: Marrakech ‘Arrival Morocco’

As you land in Marrakech airport, our English speaking driver will take you to the hotel for some rest. In the evening, you are going out for a walk in Jamaa Lafna square where you will see snake magicians and other entertainers. After that, you are having dinner in a famous restaurant nearby and then go back to your hotel

Day 2: Marrakech (guided tour)

As soon as you get up and enjoy your breakfast in the hotel, The local guide will help you begin discovering a lot of amazing things about the red city of Marrakech. In other words, we make sure that our visitors see all the most interesting sites of Marrakech culture and history consisting of the Garden of Majorelle Gardens and Koutoubia Tower as well as the Saadyin Tombs. More than that, you are visiting an old Palace called Bahia. After doing this, you will adjourn for rest and a mouth-watering lunch in a restaurant. An hour later, you are supposed to go for a walk within the souks so as to have looks at various handicrafts and explore other places by yourselves. Then, dinner will be in square of Jamaa Lafna.

Day 3: Marra  kech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge

Our journey begins after you have breakfast towards desert Sahara. Along this way, we will pass through the summits of the Atlas Mount in Tizi N-tichka pass which is about two kilometers high. Also, you will see a lot of small villages bellow the hills in which we will have a break for a coffee or mint tea as well as enjoy overlooking views. Later, we will be on our way to the most beautiful Kasbah in Morocco. It is Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou which is a UNESCO world heritage site and where many western films were made such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. After visiting this famous place, we are going to Ouarzazate along the Valley of flowers and then follow Dades valley till we reach it deep gorges. You will have a walk in this gorge before going to spend the night in an inn.

Day 4: Dades Gorge – Tinghir – Merzouga

In the 4^th day after you have breakfast, we are going to go for a walk in Dades deep gorges enjoying its volcanic cliffs. After this, we will follow a road full of Kasbahs till we reach Tinghir and visit Jewish Kasbah. Next, we are moving towards Todgha Gorges where you will have a break for lunch and enjoy walking in the gorges. Subsequently, we will pursue our trip to Merzouga via Tinjdad Jorf. By the end of the day, we will have reached a guest house to spend our night.

Day5; Merzouga

Once you have your breakfast, we will go for an excursion by a 4*4 car in order to enjoy the colors of the sand dunes as well as volcanic black rocks. Also, we will go by small berber villages. We will have a pause in one of these villages for lunch with a generous family in their tent. Thereafter, as we follow our plan, we will join the track of Rally Dakar that goes to caves in which miners take out fossils. Later on, we will return to our auberge so that we can begin a different picnic across sand dunes of Erg Chebbi by camels. When you get to the middle of Sahara desert, you will find tents where you are going to spend a beautiful night. During this experience, you are to go up a nearby sand hill to watch the sunset across yellow sands. After you come back to the tent, you will sit around a camp fire to enjoy a cup of tea and some drum music under the stars. Then, you have a delicious Moroccan tajine.

Day 6:Merzouga – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes

During the last day of our journey, you will take a long trip to Fes. Throughout this way, we are going to stop in Rissani to visit its markets. Then, you will pursue the trip to Errachidia passing across Erfoud. We will go along Ziz valley towards Errachidia. Continuously, we will travel across the summits of Atlas Mountains via Tizi N-talghamt pass where we stop to enjoy attic views and take some photos. An hour later, we will reach Midelt for lunch and some rest before we depart to Azrou. Immediately after lunch in a village full of apple farms, we will go up the Middle Atlas Mountains within cedar forest in which you may see some monkeys living there. The city of Ifrane will be the next destination before we get to Fes where we will spend our night in Riad.

Day7: Fes (guided tour)

Directly after having your breakfast in Riad, your first excursion will cover the historical sites of Fes such as old Medina where you will walk in its pathways and narrow alleys. Afterwards, you will be directed to firstly visit Royal Palace wooden Gate. Above all, The guide will be certain that you all visit famous places like; The oldest university in the world “Al Quaraouine University’ founded by Fatima Alfihrya in 859 AD. More, you will go to see the Tanneries where tanners tan animal skins and make shoes, blanket, bags and wallets. Later, you are going to follow your steps towards Attarine museum and Mulay Idriss mausoleum. When you have lunch, you will walk to drop in on the cooperation of tiles.

Day 8: Fes – Volubilis – Meknes – Rabat – Casablanca

After having morning meal, the English speaking driver will transport you towards Meknes through the way of Volubilis. It is about an hour-journey. During our pause in Volubilis, you are to explore the oldest place in Morocco as Volubilis was built by the Roman Empire before Christ. Continuously, you will also pay a visit to Mulay Driss Zarhoun. And later on, you are in Meknes which is known by a lot of Mosque towers and enormous walls. One of these mosques has built since the twelfth century. It is really unique with its big wooden gates and thatched roofs. The old medina makes Meknes in the list of UNESCO world heritage. Meknes is known by its large plain of agriculture called Sais plains where different crops grow. It is also safe thus you are going to walk around to see the immense walls and of course paying a visit to the most beautiful gate named Bab Al Mansour. Moreover, you will go for a walk in Lahdim square to enjoy yourselves by entertainers. And then, you are going to visit Dar Jamai which is Museum of Moroccan Art. After you have lunch in a restaurant, we will travel traight to Rabat. It is the capital city of Morocco where you will spend your day visiting Chellah , Ouday Kasbah and its Garden and Kasbah. More than that, you will go to see Muhamed 5^th’s old mausoleum as well as the mosque tower of Hassan. Furthermore, you are to visit Yaacoub Elmansour and Rabat souks in the heart of the old medina. An hour later, we will get to the biggest city in the country, Casablanca to spend our night there in a hotel.

Day 9:Casablanca “depart Morocco”

As soon as you have your breakfast and according to your time departure, we will take you to the airport.
