7 DAYS Fes to Merzouga Desrt Tour

Day 1: Fes – Ifran – Azrou – Midelt

After we meet you in Fes hotel, we will travel to Merzouga by the way of Ifrane and Azrou cedar jungle where you may have a chance to see some wild monkeys on the pine trees. An hour later, we will reach Zaida town for lunch and then we pursue our trip to Midelt in order to enjoy its mountainous views. Besides, we will stay for the night in a hotel.

Day 2: Midelt – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga Desert

As soon as you are up and have breakfast, we are to continue our journey towards Merzouga, but after we get there, we will definitely enjoy our way along Ziz Valley and through Tizi Ntalghamt Pass with volcanic stones. Two hours later, you will across Errachidia city arriving at Rissani which is known by fossils. At last, you will feel the onset of desert in Merzouga. In this Saharian city, you are going to meet camels that will carry you to the middle of Sahara so that you would spend the night under a nomadic tent and enjoy the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Actually, you will go up a sand attic to watch the most beautiful sunset. Then, you are coming back to the tent to enjoy some Berber music and dinner.

Day 3: Merzouga – Toudgha Gorges – Dades Gorges

After the camel guide gets you up to watch the sunrise over the golden sands, you will be back on camels for breakfast and departure to Rissani where you will have a chance to walk in a public old market. Later on, we are to continue our plan to Toudgha Gorges for lunch and go for a walk among the cliffs of the gorges. Besides, you are also going to visit other deep gorges called Dades where you are to spend your night in a hotel.

Day 4: Dades Gorges – Kalaa Magouna – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben haddou

When you have breakfast in the hotel, we will continue out trip via Dades Valley in the direction of Kalaat Mgouna to Ouarzazate. During this trip, you will have a chance to take pictures of various angles of the valley and Kasbahs till you get to the countryside of flowers and nearby Skoura Valley. After that, you are coming aside Ait Youl Kasbah and across Ouarzazate which is famous by holding the production of foreign and Moroccan films. Thus, It is called Hollywood of Africa. Then, you will stay the night in a hotel of Ait BeHaddou Kasbah. It is the biggest Kasbah in the country and is a UNESCO historical place.

Day 5: Ait Ben Haddou – Tizi Ntichka – Marrakech

Once you already have breakfast, you will go out exploring how Ait Ben Haddou Ksar was built. It is considered a world heritage site. It attracts a lot of film makers such as the one who directed GLADIATOR and so on. After doing so, we are going to see another Ksar which is Talouet Kasbah. Later, we will travel to Marrakech via the summit of Atlas Mountains called Tizi N-tichka pass until we reach the red city ‘Marrakech’.

Day 6: Marrakech – Casablance – Rabat

As soon as you finish having your breakfast, we are going to follow our way to the biggest city in Morocco. It is Casablanca where you will visit some interesting places including: Muhamed fifth and United Nation squares then you will go to see the tallest minaret in the world of Hassan mosque which is situated by the seaside. Before travelling to the capital city of the country ‘Rabat’, we are to have lunch in Casablanca. An hour later, we will get to Rabat so you can visit Elwadaya Kasbah as well as the tower of Hassan II. Besides, we are going to see Muhammed fifth’s Mausoleum and other historical sites. After doing that, you are to spend the night in a hotel.

Day 7: Rabat – Meknes – Fes

During the seventh day, we will travel from Rabat to Meknes after breakfast in the hotel. When we reach Meknes, we will spend a good time exploring this city where we are going to see the gate of Bab Elmansour, Lhdim Square and Mausoleum of Mulay Ismail. Thereafter, we will pursue our trip to the Roman Empire ancient city built since BC. It is called Volubilis and was considered the capital of Mouritania. Subsequently, after you discover the ruins of the Romans, we will go straight to another old imperial city ‘Fes’ in which you will spend the night in a hotel.
