6 DAYS TOUR FROM TANGIER TO MERZOUGA

Day 01: Tangier – Chefchaoun

After arriving at Tangier port, we are going to explore this city. Thereafter, we will take begin our travel towards Chefchaouen. It is a fortified city and Moroccans call it the blue city as it has blue buildings that make it a beautiful city. We will spend the night later in a hotel.

Day 02: chefchouen – Midelt

As soon as you have breakfast, we will keep on our trip towards Midelt via the old imperial city of Fes where you will discover more historically. Luckily, we will take a road across a large cedar forest where there are lots of monkeys living. About two hours later, we will get to Midelt to spend the night.

Day 3: Midelt – Merzouga

After a delicious breakfast in Midelt, you will start our journey across the Atlas mountains and along Ziz Valley whereby we will have a pause to take pictures of wonderful views. Later on, we will go past Errachidia towards Sahara Desert (Merzouga) where we will stay for the night and enjoy the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Merzouga

In the fourth day of our tour in Sahara, we will go through the desert with a 4*4 vehicle and wonderful golden sands so that you can visit nomadic Berber people and explore their lifestyle. After that, we will pay a visit to a Lake Sirji to take pictures of its views and white birds.

At luncheon, we will get to Rissani where you will have a chance to visit Sijilmassa markets and have lunch at a local restaurant which offers a dish called Madfouna (PIZZA) and berber wine. Thereafter, you are going back to Merzouga to meet camels that will transport you throughout the sand dunes. At the middle of desert, you will settle down in a bivouac (equipped tents) and you will go up the nearest sand hill to watch the sunset. Then, you are coming back to the tent to enjoy a traditional meal cooked by the guide and spend the night.

Day 5: Merzouga – Fez

In the next day, you will get up early to watch the sunrise over sand dunes. Afterwards, you are to go back to the hotel for breakfast and shower. Then, the travel will begin directly towards the old imperial city “Fes” where the next night will be spent.

Day 6: Fes – Tangier

You will travel from Fes into the port of the northern city Tangier for leaving.
