4 DAYS MARRAKECH TO DESERT TOUR

Day 1 : Marrakech – Zagoura (7 hours drive)

The first trip will begin at half past seven AM and involve going from Marrakech hotel to Erg Chigaga desert.

Throughout this excursion, we will go up a winding road of Tizi N-tichka pass where you will enjoy wonderful landscapes of the mountains. So, you will have a pause there to take photos. Later, we will continue our track to Ouarzazate for lunch before we follow the road to Zagoura and cross Daraa Valley which keeps palm oasis alive. More than that, during this way, we will enjoy sightseeing views of corn and barley fields. And you will spend the night in small hotel in Zagoura area.

Day 2:Zagoura – Erg Chigaga (4 hours drive)

Concerning the 2^nd day of our journey, after having breakfast, we are going to go onward Mhamid and Tamagroute village so as to see the oldest libraries of Quran in the country. After so, we will follow our path to explore an underground Kasbah and the factory of ceramic manufacturing factory. As luncheon is about, we are to enjoy our lunch in the same place. In the afternoon, we will enjoy crossing Erg Chigaga sand dunes and Hammada oasis by camels till we reach the middle of desert very far from urbanization. During the rest of the day, as your reach the camp, your will go up a sand hill so you can see the sunset over golden sands while the guide is making a delicious dinner you will later have under the stars and around a camp fire. Also, there will be local nomads who will entertain us with music before going to bed under a tent.

Day 3:Erg Chigaga – Foum Zguid – Ouarzazate (6 hours drive)

We will continue our way across desert after having breakfast. In this desert, you are enjoying beautiful views of sand hills and Iriqui Lake as well as fossils that are along the road of ‘Rally Dakar of Paris’. Later, we will get to Foum Zguid where you are going to have your lunch and join the paved road towards Taznakht village. This place is known by woven traditional carpets and rugs. Next, you will reach Ouarzazate for dinner and bed in a hotel.

Day 4:Ouarzazate – Marrakech

As soon as you have breakfast, we will directly go to visit studio of film and then carry on to see Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou created by El Glaoui. This Kasbah is famous with attracting foreign film makers such as those who directed films; ‘Gladiator’ and ‘Lawrence of Arabia’. Moreover, Ksar Ait Ben Haddou is a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. Later, we will go across the Atlas Mountains via Tizi N-Tichka. It is a nice pass whereby you will enjoy wonderful over views and take some photos as well as having lunch. After that, you will reach the red city Marrakech where you will spend the following night.

This trip from Marrakech to Erg Chigaga will end after four days. You will be released in a hotel or a place you pick out.
